Maz McGann established her Consultancy Firm, Play Your Part in 2015. Since that time she has worked with dozens of Councils, arts and community organisations, small business and government on a range of initiatives from research and evaluation to event management and strategic planning. Maz has over 20 years experience working in the community and cultural development sector and has been working with the Regional Galleries Association since 2019, helping with a variety of initiatives including the Creative Spaces Summit.
Maz grew up in northeast Victoria and graduated from Deakin University with Bachelors Degree in Professional Writing in 1999. She moved to the Barossa Valley in 2009 where she still resides with her family. Maz is the Chair of the Sunshine Coast Arts Advisory Board, she has bee a Funding Assessor for Festivals Australia for the past five years and more recently she was one of the founders of the Barossa Women’s Artist Residency. Her skills as a facilitator, leader, planner and most importantly as a critical and creative thinker has seen her work all over Australia.
