Creative Industries
Starting her profession within an economic development agency which focused on workforce and industry development in the northern region in the 90’s, Becc took this experience and forged a career in the arts that has included running a music business conference and being a founding partner in an artist management business before being attracted to state government to build an understanding of ‘how it worked’.
While building an understanding of ‘how government works’, Becc developed an interest and a deep appreciation for how transformative effective policy can be.
Becc is currently responsible for the development and delivery of strategies to support the creative industries in South Australia. She leads a team of dynamic professionals who facilitate the state government’s investment into the screen, music and high-end craft and design sectors through the: South Australian Film Corporation, Adelaide Film Festival, JamFactory, the Music Development Office and the St Paul’s Creative Centre.
Becc led the establishment of the state’s Music Development Office (MDO) which brought together areas of Government to recognise music as an industry as well as a creative endeavour.
Prior to this, as a founding partner in the artist management business Becc’s focus was on career and strategy development, and international contract negotiations
